KEPEMIMPINAN KETUA YAYASAN BERDASARKAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL (EQ) DI LEMBANG PENDIDIKAN MTS NURUL HASANAH TENGGAYUN

Abstrak

Leadership in an educational institution plays an important role in determining the direction, policies, and quality of learning that takes place in it. One of the factors that contributes to the effectiveness of leadership is emotional intelligence (Emotional Quotient/EQ). This study is a qualitative study that describes the leadership of the Head of the MTs Nurul Hasanah Tenggayun Educational Institution and analyzes it from the perspective of emotional intelligence. The methods used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data, this study applies triangulation techniques, with more emphasis on triangulation sources. Data sources include all residents in the surrounding environment, including teachers at MTs Nurul Hasanah Tenggayun. The data collected contains a description of the leadership of the foundation head based on aspects of emotional intelligence. The results of the study revealed that the foundation head showed good leadership when viewed from an emotional intelligence perspective. Further analysis proved that the leadership carried out by the foundation head was very effective, as confirmed through data and source triangulation. The Head of the Syafaat Institution of the MTs Nurul Hasanah Tenggayun Educational Institution has a strong commitment to the vision of the future, especially in dealing with stressful situations or increasing responsibilities. In carrying out his leadership, the chairman of the foundation adopts an emotional approach to all members of the foundation. He is able to understand and manage his own emotions, realize their impact on decision-making, and use instinct as a guide in setting policies. In addition, the chairman of the foundation has a good understanding of his strengths and limitations, is able to control his emotions, and upholds the values ​​of honesty, integrity, and trust. He also demonstrates high self-awareness, good self-management skills, and skills in building effective social relationships and relationship management.
