UPAYA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBINA AKHLAK SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 ANAK TUHA KECAMATAN ANAK TUHA KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TENGAH TAHUN AKADEMIK 2024 / 2025

Abstract

This study aims to explore the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students' morals at SMP Negeri 1 Anak Tuha, Anak Tuha District, Lampung Tengah Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that PAI teachers have implemented various programs such as congregational prayers, Qur'an recitation routines, and kultum (short lectures) to cultivate students' morals. The teachers' role as role models in daily behavior is crucial in shaping students' character. The school environment that supports these values also plays a significant role in promoting good morals. However, challenges such as lack of motivation from some students to participate in religious activities, limited facilities, and insufficient parental involvement in character development were identified. Therefore, enhanced cooperation between the school, teachers, and parents is essential to support the development of students' morals. This study contributes to the development of moral education based on Islamic values in schools.
