PERAN KEPALA MADRASAH DAN KINERJA GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XII DIMAS RAADHIYATAN MARDHIYYAH PUTRI KECAMATAN BALIKPAPAN TIMUR

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the headmaster and the performance of teachers in enhancing the learning motivation of 12th-grade students at Madrasah Raadiyatan Mardhiyyah Putri in Balikpapan Timur. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the headmaster, teachers, and students. The results show that the headmaster plays a significant role in creating a motivating learning environment through reward policies for outstanding students and teacher development programs. Teachers' performance, which includes using varied teaching methods and addressing students' needs, positively impacts learning motivation. Furthermore, parental support also boosts students' motivation to learn. However, external challenges such as distractions from social media and social pressures were found to affect students' learning motivation. Overall, the findings indicate that the role of the headmaster and teacher performance significantly influences students' learning motivation, with support from parents and a conducive environment acting as supporting factors.
