This study aims to describe the implementation of management and counseling services in the character development of students at SMP Negeri 1 Anak Tuha, Central Lampung Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that school management plays a significant role in establishing a religious culture that supports the formation of students’ noble character. The principal, Islamic education teachers, homeroom teachers, and guidance counselors collaboratively implement various programs such as routine religious activities, character reinforcement through learning, and both individual and group counseling services. Counseling services are proven effective in addressing students’ moral issues and shaping balanced personalities in both cognitive and affective aspects. Challenges include a shortage of counselors, negative media influence, and unsupportive family backgrounds. Nevertheless, the school actively implements mitigation strategies through capacity-building for educators and increased parental involvement. This study concludes that the success of moral development among students is greatly influenced by effective school management and the optimization of guidance and counseling services. These findings can serve as a reference for other schools in developing a sustainable character education system.
