MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATAN KEDISIPLINAN SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL JUMHURIYAH KEC.SOSA, KAB PADANG LAWAS , PROV.SUMATERA UTARA

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic education management in improving the discipline of students at Pondok Pesantren Al Jumhuriyah, Sosa District, Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra Province. Discipline is a crucial aspect of character development that reflects the success of the pesantren education system. This research employs a qualitative approach using field studies, observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that Islamic education management at the pesantren includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising functions that are integrated with one another. The leadership and staff play active roles in guiding and supervising student discipline through rule enforcement, habituation, exemplary behavior, as well as educational sanctions and rewards. Despite challenges such as limited human resources and facilities, the efforts made have positively impacted the students' discipline in both daily life within the pesantren and the broader community. Thus, Islamic education management proves effective in shaping students’ discipline as part of the holistic goals of Islamic education.
