PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN GURU PAI DENGAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA BAHRUL ULUM KOTA BONTANG KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning using a contextual approach and its impact on student achievement at SMA Bahrul Ulum in Bontang, East Kalimantan. The contextual approach was used to link PAI material with students' life experiences, making learning more relevant and meaningful. The research method employed is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of the contextual approach in PAI learning at SMA Bahrul Ulum has significantly improved students' understanding of the material, increased learning motivation, and encouraged more active participation in class discussions. Additionally, students' academic performance showed significant improvement after the approach was applied. However, some challenges were encountered, such as time constraints and varied levels of student understanding. Therefore, teacher training and improvements in learning facilities are necessary to support the successful implementation of the contextual approach. This study contributes to the development of more effective PAI teaching methods in schools
