This study aims to examine the role of the storytelling method in developing early childhood language skills in the 21st-century learning era. Language development is a fundamental aspect of child growth that influences communication, thinking, and social interaction abilities. Amid technological advancements and changes in learning patterns, there is a need for approaches that are not only effective but also engaging for children. Storytelling, as a learning method, is considered to have great potential in stimulating imagination, enriching vocabulary, and improving speaking and listening skills in early childhood. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing various scientific sources such as journals, books, and previous relevant studies. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and systematic exploration of credible sources, which were then analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach. The data analysis process involved identifying, classifying, and synthesizing findings related to the implementation of storytelling methods in early childhood education. The findings indicate that the storytelling method plays a significant role in developing early childhood language skills, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, speaking ability, and language comprehension. Furthermore, storytelling enhances children's engagement in the learning process, fosters learning interest, and strengthens cognitive as well as socio-emotional aspects. In the 21st-century learning era, this method remains relevant and can be integrated with digital technology to create more interactive and innovative learning experiences.
