This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment in shaping students’ Islamic character. The school environment, as an external factor, plays a significant role in influencing students’ attitudes, behaviors, and personalities. Amid the challenges of globalization and rapid technological advancement, students are exposed to various influences that can affect their character both positively and negatively. Schools function not only as institutions for knowledge transfer but also as social environments that shape students’ moral and religious values. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of how the school environment contributes to the formation of students’ Islamic character. The findings reveal that a religious, supportive, and value-based school environment plays an essential role in shaping students’ Islamic character. School culture that emphasizes religious practices, respectful interactions among school members, and rules grounded in Islamic values can foster discipline, responsibility, honesty, and social awareness. In addition, the role of teachers as role models and the harmonious relationships between students and the school community strengthen the internalization of Islamic values. A positive school environment provides students with direct experiences in practicing Islamic values in their daily lives. In conclusion, the school environment has a significant contribution to the development of students’ Islamic character. The success of character formation is influenced by the consistency of school culture implementation, the active role of teachers and educational staff, and the support of all school members. A conducive and religious environment creates a learning atmosphere that not only focuses on academic achievement but also on the development of noble character. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective educational strategies in fostering students’ Islamic character within the school environment.
