PERAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN DI SDIT

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the professional competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the learning process at SDIT. This study is a field research using a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research in terms of its method and level of discussion. This research focuses on providing an in-depth description of teachers’ professional competence in the implementation of learning activities in schools.

The data collection techniques in this study were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. These three techniques were used to obtain valid and comprehensive data regarding the implementation of teachers’ professional competence in the field. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification.

Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that, in general, the professional competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers has been implemented quite optimally, although there are still several aspects that need improvement and refinement. Among the five indicators of professional competence, the most prominent and well-implemented aspect is the ability to use learning media and educational technology.

The results of the study show that Islamic Religious Education teachers at SDIT have been able to utilize various learning media effectively, such as presentation slides, books, tape recorders, cassettes, laptops, films, and LCD projectors. All of these media are used systematically in accordance with the learning materials being delivered. In addition, teachers also have good skills in selecting appropriate instructional media so that the learning process can take place effectively, efficiently, and in an enjoyable manner.

This indicates that teacher professionalism is not only determined by mastery of subject matter, but also by the ability to manage and utilize learning media according to the characteristics of the material and the needs of students. Therefore, the appropriate use of instructional media is an important factor in improving the quality of the learning process in the classroom.
