PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN PAI BERBASIS PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SD NEGERI

Abstract

The findings of this study indicate that the principal’s supervision planning was carried out in a structured, systematic, and continuous manner. At the planning stage, the principal determined which teachers would be observed, scheduled the observation activities, prepared observation instruments or guidelines, and decided whether the classroom observation would be known to the teachers or not based on mutual agreement between the principal and the teachers concerned.

During the implementation stage, the principal’s presence did not interfere with the teaching and learning process in the classroom. In fact, at the end of the lesson, the principal provided motivation to students to encourage them to study diligently. Furthermore, at the follow-up stage, the results of the supervision were discussed collaboratively between the principal and teachers to identify weaknesses in the teaching process. This was intended as an effort to improve teachers’ performance and enhance the quality of learning in the future.

The results of the study also revealed that teachers demonstrated good performance in the learning process. This could be seen from the preparation of lesson plans that were in accordance with teacher performance standards. In the implementation of learning activities, teachers were able to master the subject matter well, apply various teaching methods, utilize learning media effectively, and provide opportunities for students to participate in evaluation sessions through questions and answers. In addition, teachers conducted learning evaluations by asking several questions at the end of the lesson.
