Abstract

The digital transformation in education has significantly changed the roles of teachers and madrasah principals in managing the learning process. Teacher professionalism is no longer measured solely by conventional pedagogical abilities, but also by digital literacy, innovative teaching practices, and the ability to utilize information technology-based learning media. In this context, madrasah principals play a strategic role in designing and implementing various strategies to enhance teacher professionalism in accordance with the demands of the digital era. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research informants included madrasah principals, teachers, and education staff involved in the development of teacher professionalism within the institution. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that madrasah principals implement various strategies to improve teacher professionalism in the digital era, such as digital literacy training, technology-based supervision, strengthening teacher learning communities, and encouraging the use of digital learning media. These strategies have positively impacted teacher competence, particularly in the use of educational technology and innovative teaching methods. However, challenges remain, including limited digital skills among some teachers and inadequate technological infrastructure in madrasahs.
