This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership of madrasah principals on teacher performance in Islamic educational institutions. Transformational leadership is a leadership style that emphasizes the ability of leaders to inspire, motivate, and encourage positive change within educational organizations. In the context of madrasahs, the principal plays a strategic role in improving teacher performance to ensure that the learning process runs effectively and with high quality. This research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive correlational method. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers in Islamic educational institutions who served as respondents in this study. Data analysis was conducted using correlation and simple regression statistical tests to determine the influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance. The results showed that there is a positive and significant influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance. Principals who are able to provide inspiration, motivation, individual consideration, and good communication can improve teacher performance in lesson planning, teaching implementation, and evaluation. In addition, teachers become more disciplined, professional, and responsible in carrying out their duties. However, several obstacles were identified, such as differences in teacher competence, limited facilities, and variations in the implementation of leadership styles in the field. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the leadership competence of madrasah principals to optimize teacher performance comprehensively.
