Strategi Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Akhlakul Karimah pada Siswa

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling the values of akhlakul karimah in students at school. The cultivation of akhlakul karimah is one of the main objectives of Islamic education because it plays an important role in shaping students’ character, morals, and behavior in accordance with Islamic teachings. Islamic Religious Education teachers have a strategic role as educators, mentors, and role models in shaping students’ morals through various learning strategies and character-building activities. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers, students, and school authorities as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling the values of akhlakul karimah were carried out through role modeling, habituation, giving advice, value-based learning, and religious activities within the school environment. Teachers also applied persuasive approaches and good communication with students so that moral values could be understood and implemented in daily life. The implementation of these strategies was able to shape students’ discipline, honesty, responsibility, politeness, and social awareness. Supporting factors in instilling akhlakul karimah include a religious school environment, parental support, and cooperation among teachers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the influence of the external environment, uncontrolled use of technology, and the low awareness of some students regarding the importance of morals in everyday life. Therefore, the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers have an important role in instilling the values of akhlakul karimah and shaping students’ character based on Islamic values.
