Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of institutional governance and school committee participation on the quality of Islamic education at MA Nurul Islam Jati Agung. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method with 76 respondents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires on institutional governance, school committee participation, and the quality of Islamic education that had met validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26. The results showed that institutional governance and school committee participation partially and simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on the quality of Islamic education. The coefficient of determination showed that 56.6% of the variation in the quality of Islamic education was influenced by these two variables. The accountability dimension was the most influential aspect of governance, while the committee's oversight function had the highest correlation with the quality of education although the level of achievement was still low. The study recommends strengthening institutional accountability and optimizing the school committee's oversight function as a strategy to improve the quality of Islamic education
