Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) learning model integrated with Islamic values for early childhood. This integrative approach is motivated by the need to develop children's multiple intelligences while building Islamic character from an early age. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), conducted at Islamic Kindergartens throughout Yogyakarta City during the 2024/2025 academic year, involving 8 early childhood institutions, 24 teachers, and 120 children aged 4-6 years. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, child activity observation sheets, and child development tests. Validation by content experts, media experts, and Islamic religion experts showed an average feasibility score of 87.6% (very feasible category). Field trials showed significant improvements in science ability (η²=0.68), artistic creativity (η²=0.71), basic mathematical concept understanding (η²=0.64), and internalization of Islamic values (η²=0.79). This study produced an STEAM-Islam model guide that can be adopted by Islamic early childhood institutions throughout Indonesia.
