Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe achievement-based student selection management and examine its contribution to achieving excellent madrasahs. The study employed a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were obtained from scientific journal articles, academic books, policy documents, and other relevant literature, particularly publications from the last five years. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of identification, selection, classification, interpretation, comparison, and synthesis of the literature. The results show that achievement-based student selection management includes the planning of criteria and indicators, organization of the selection team, document verification, assessment and ranking of academic and non-academic achievements, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The implementation of this system contributes to improving the quality of student input, mapping student potential, strengthening an achievement-oriented culture, enhancing the effectiveness of student development, increasing public trust, and strengthening madrasah competitiveness. Achievement-based student selection management is not merely an administrative mechanism for student admission but constitutes a quality management strategy that can serve as a foundation for achieving excellent madrasahs when implemented objectively, transparently, accountably, fairly, measurably, and in an integrated manner with student development programs.
