Abstract

This study aims to analyze change management strategies in madrasah development and examine their contribution to developing adaptive, innovative, high-quality, and sustainable madrasahs. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained from relevant scholarly literature, particularly journal articles published within the last five years, books, and academic documents addressing change management and madrasah development. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through identification, selection, categorization, comparison, and synthesis of findings from various studies. The findings indicate that change management in madrasah development encompasses change readiness, madrasah leadership, participation and empowerment of madrasah members, human resource development, resistance management, innovation implementation, evaluation, and institutionalization of change. Change management contributes to improving educational quality, strengthening teacher competencies, developing an adaptive organizational culture, enhancing innovation and competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable institutional development. Change management is an essential strategy for madrasah development because it integrates organizational resources and processes toward sustainable transformation. This study proposes a conceptual framework positioning change readiness, leadership, participation, innovation, evaluation, and institutionalization as strategic components for developing adaptive, innovative, high-quality, and sustainable madrasahs.
