This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Islamic education management in realizing a smart school based on Qur’anic values at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the management of education at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin has been implemented systematically and integratively through four core managerial functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. In the planning stage, the school formulates a vision and digital programs rooted in Qur’anic values aimed at improving both academic achievement and character development. The organizing stage involves clear task distribution and collaborative work among school leaders, teachers, administrative staff, and the school committee. The implementation of the smart school includes the use of educational technologies such as e-learning platforms and academic information systems, but more importantly, it integrates Qur’anic teachings into daily educational practices. Supervision is carried out regularly through performance-based and value-based evaluations. Overall, the study finds that the success of the smart school implementation at this institution is not merely due to technological adoption, but rather because of the strong foundation of Islamic values that guide every aspect of educational management. The novelty of this research lies in offering a Qur’anic value-based Islamic education management model that is responsive to digital transformationa perspective that has been rarely explored in the context of pesantren-based Islamic secondary education. This study offers practical implications for Islamic educational institutions seeking to establish smart schools that are not only technologically advanced but also spiritually grounded.
