Abstract

This study aims to analyze religious habituation strategies in strengthening Islamic character among early childhood learners and to examine the process of strengthening Islamic character through consistently implemented religious activities. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained from relevant journal articles, books, and scientific sources discussing Islamic religious education, religious habituation, Islamic character, and early childhood education. The data were analyzed through identification, selection, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of findings from previous studies. The findings indicate that religious habituation can be implemented through routine, spontaneous, and programmed activities, teacher modeling, repetition, and positive reinforcement. These strategies contribute to strengthening children's religious character, discipline, responsibility, politeness, caring attitudes, and independence. Religious habituation is an effective strategy for strengthening Islamic character in early childhood when implemented systematically, consistently, enjoyably, and integrated into children's daily activities. The novelty of this study lies in conceptualizing religious habituation as an integrative strategy that connects religious activities, teacher modeling, behavioral reinforcement, and the internalization of Islamic values in children's character development
