Abstract

The development of attractive and interactive learning media is needed to improve early childhood children's ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters. Learning processes that still use conventional methods often make children less interested and easily bored, affecting their ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters optimally. The Islamic Busy Book was developed as a learning medium integrating play activities with Hijaiyah letter recognition materials to create a more interesting and enjoyable learning process. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of teachers and early childhood students in early childhood education institutions. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that the Islamic Busy Book media was considered feasible based on validation results from media experts and material experts and was effective in improving early childhood children's ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters. The use of the Islamic Busy Book also increased children's interest, attention, and motivation during the learning process..
