Abstract

The development of a child-friendly learning environment in early childhood education institutions is an important effort in creating a learning process that is safe, comfortable, enjoyable, and appropriate to children's developmental characteristics. A child-friendly learning environment is not only related to physical aspects but also includes social, emotional, and psychological aspects that support children's development optimally. This study employed a qualitative approach using descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the development of a child-friendly learning environment was implemented through the management of comfortable physical environments, the use of enjoyable learning methods, the provision of educational play tools, and the establishment of positive relationships between teachers and students. This development had a positive impact on children's social, emotional, and learning interest development. However, its implementation still faced several obstacles, including limited facilities and infrastructure as well as differences in children's characteristics..
