IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS DIGITAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK PADA PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital-based learning in improving children's cognitive development in early childhood education. The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including education. The utilization of digital media in learning has become an innovation that helps teachers create more interactive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children. Digital-based learning enables children to gain educational experiences through audio, visual, and audiovisual media that can enhance thinking skills, memory, symbol recognition, problem-solving abilities, and creativity development. This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from various literature sources, including scientific journals, books, research articles, and other supporting documents related to digital learning and cognitive development in early childhood education. Data collection techniques involved documentation and content analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of digital-based learning within early childhood educational settings. The findings indicate that digital-based learning contributes positively to children's cognitive development. The use of digital learning media such as educational videos, interactive learning applications, educational games, and audiovisual resources improves children's learning concentration, logical thinking abilities, memory skills, problem-solving competencies, and understanding of basic concepts such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors. Furthermore, digital-based learning encourages active participation in the learning process, creating a more effective and enjoyable educational environment. However, the implementation of digital learning requires guidance from teachers and parents to ensure that technology usage remains directed and aligned with children's developmental needs. Therefore, collaboration among educators, parents, and educational institutions is essential to optimize the use of digital technology in enhancing children's cognitive development.
