PENGARUH MEDIA TELEVISI TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN AKHLAK SISWA KELAS VII MTS MIFTAHUL HUDA KECAMATAN RAWAJITU KABUPATEN MESUJI TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024/2025

Abstract
This study aims to determine how the positive influence of watching television on the development of student behavior at MTs Miftahul Huda Rawajitu. The type of research used is quantitative associative with an ex post facto model, namely research conducted to reveal data that has occurred previously, without manipulating data obtained in the field, the results of which are described in the form of percentages or numbers. The population of grade VII students at MTs Miftahul Huda Rawajitu was 58 people and two akidah akhlak teachers as saturated samples. Data were collected using observation techniques, interview techniques, questionnaire techniques and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis was based on quantitative descriptive using percentages. The results of the study showed that: 1). Student behavior after watching television had a negative effect and obtained a percentage of 80%, while the positive effect obtained a percentage of 20%. 2). After students watch news or programs on television, it causes reactions that can lead to bad behavior in life because students prefer to watch films, music, advertisements that can only entertain themselves and obtain a percentage of 80%. 3). The positive influence of watching television on the development of student behavior is being able to control oneself, have potential and talent, develop insight, instill religious education values, have cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities.
