Abstract

To instill discipline, it seems that it is not enough to rely only on the learning process in the classroom. Therefore, there must be a supporting program to achieve it. Therefore, scouting is one of the activities that has these characteristics. This is considered quite reasonable, considering that the nature of scouting is education outside of school that helps the government and society, fostering and educating Indonesian children and youth who carry out human development in Indonesia as a whole and the development of the entire Indonesian community through scouting education. Researchers are interested in studying scouting activities at DI MA DARUSSALAM BERMIBERMI because there are very active scouting activities that run as expected. However, there are still some students who have a low level of learning discipline. Will the very active scouting activities at DI MA DARUSSALAM BERMI be used as a place to develop student learning discipline. The purpose of this study is: (1) To describe the implementation of the scout learning program at DI MA DARUSSALAM BERMIBERMI Madiun Regency, (2) To describe the implementation of character education through scout learning to develop student learning discipline at DI MA DARUSSALAM BERMIBERMI. The approach used by the researcher is a qualitative method of descriptive qualitative research type. In collecting data, the researcher used observation, interview, and documentation methods. As for data analysis, the researcher used qualitative descriptive by reducing data, then displaying data in the form of brief descriptions and concluding flexibly in order to answer the existing problem formulation. From the analysis and research, it can be concluded: (1) The implementation of scout activities at MA Darussalam Bermi went as expected, marked by the great enthusiasm of students. (2) The implementation of character education through scout learning is very important in developing student learning discipline at DI MA DARUSSALAM BERMIBERMI Madiun Regency. This is evidenced by the increasing discipline of students in participating in teaching and learning activities.
