Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between work culture and work motivation on the improvement of teacher performance at UPTD SDN 124386, Jalan Jambu, Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consists of 30 teachers, with a saturated sampling technique. Data was collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring three variables: work culture, work motivation, and teacher performance. Descriptive analysis showed that both work culture and work motivation were in the good category, and overall teacher performance was positively rated. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated a significant relationship between work culture and work motivation on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.56, indicating that 56% of the variation in teacher performance can be explained by work culture and work motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a positive work culture and increasing motivation through appreciation and professional development. The implications of this study highlight the need for supportive policies and school managerial strategies to create a conducive work environment that enhances teacher performance.
