Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented by Islamic Education teachers (PAI) at SD Negeri 025281 Kota Binjai to enhance the religious atmosphere in the school. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and the principal. The results show that the strategies implemented by the PAI teachers are diverse, including the methods of exemplification, lectures, discussions, the use of creative learning media, and religious activities outside of class hours. All of these strategies proved to be effective in shaping the religious character of the students and creating a conducive religious atmosphere in the school. However, the study also identified several hindering factors, such as the lack of support from the family environment and the influence of social media that does not always align with religious values. Therefore, closer collaboration between the school, family, and community is necessary to create an optimal religious atmosphere. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective religious education strategies in primary schools.
