Abstract

School leadership plays a crucial role in optimizing teacher performance at SMAN 2 Indralaya for the academic year 2024/2025. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, gathering data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal, teachers, and teaching staff. The results show that the principal applies a participatory and collaborative leadership style that supports teachers' professional development. The principal also provides opportunities for teachers to attend training and conducts constructive evaluations to enhance their performance. However, challenges such as limited facilities and high administrative burdens hinder the optimization of teachers' performance. To overcome these challenges, the principal strives to improve facilities, reduce administrative burdens, and encourage the use of technology in learning. In conclusion, school leadership based on collaboration and attention to teachers' needs plays a vital role in enhancing teaching performance and the quality of education at the school.
