Through this academic supervision, the head of the madrasah plays an active role in assisting teachers in improving their professional competence and the quality of classroom learning.
This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The collected data were then analyzed systematically to provide a comprehensive description of the implementation of academic supervision in the madrasah.
Based on the research findings, several important conclusions were obtained. First, the academic supervision program was prepared based on the results of previous supervision analysis and monitoring of the learning process. The program was designed at the beginning of the academic year as a guideline for implementing supervision throughout one learning period. Second, the strategies for implementing academic supervision included supervision of learning tools, classroom visit techniques, and direct observation of teacher activities during the learning process. Third, follow-up actions from the results of academic supervision were carried out in the form of personal and group coaching to assist teachers in overcoming learning obstacles and improving teaching quality.
In addition, the implementation of academic supervision also had a positive impact on improving teacher discipline, the readiness of learning instruments, and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Through planned and continuous supervision, teachers became more motivated to enhance their professionalism and innovation in learning activities. Therefore, academic supervision conducted by the head of the madrasah plays a very important role in supporting the improvement of educational quality in Madrasah Tsanawiyah
