PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI ACTIVE LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAK BERBASIS KURIKULUM MERDEKA SERTA IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP RELIGIUSITAS SISWA DI MADRSAH ALIYAH

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and measure the impact of implementing Active Learning in Akidah Akhlak (Islamic creed and morals) learning based on the Kurikulum Merdeka on the religiosity level of students at Madrasah Aliyah. In addition, this study highlights how this learning strategy can shape positive behavior and increase student participation in religious activities.

The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the Principal, Vice Principals for Curriculum, Facilities and Infrastructure, Student Affairs, Akidah Akhlak teachers, and students. Secondary data were collected from document studies, manuscripts, and related archives, which supported an in-depth analysis of teaching practices. Classroom observations were conducted to gain a real understanding of Active Learning implementation.

The results indicate that the implementation of Active Learning in Akidah Akhlak is manifested through various religious activities, both inside and outside the classroom, such as group discussions, worship practices, and social-religious activities. These practices have been proven to increase student engagement in religious activities, foster religious attitudes, and reduce negative behavior or disciplinary violations at school.

Thus, the study concludes that the use of Active Learning is not only effective in enhancing students’ understanding of Akidah Akhlak material but also has a positive impact on the development of students’ religiosity. This demonstrates that active participation-based learning strategies can serve as a solution to the challenges of implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka.
