PENGARUH BUDAYA ORGANISASI TERHADAP DISIPLIN KERJA GURU DI MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational culture on teacher work discipline in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Organizational culture is understood as the values, norms, habits, and behavior patterns that develop and are collectively practiced within the madrasah environment. This culture plays an important role in shaping teachers’ attitudes and work behavior, particularly in terms of discipline in carrying out teaching and administrative duties. This research employs a quantitative approach using a descriptive correlational method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to teachers, supported by field observations and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using correlation and simple regression tests to determine the influence of organizational culture on teacher work discipline. The results show that there is a positive and significant influence of organizational culture on teacher work discipline in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The stronger the organizational culture applied in the madrasah, the higher the level of teacher discipline. A strong organizational culture is reflected in rule compliance, punctuality, and consistency in carrying out duties. However, several obstacles were identified, such as differences in teachers’ compliance levels and the suboptimal internalization of organizational values. Therefore, strengthening organizational culture is an important factor in improving teacher work discipline.
