Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and processes of adaptive leadership of madrasah principals in responding to digital transformation and to examine the strategies employed by madrasah principals to manage change and sustain digital transformation. This study employed a literature review method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from relevant scientific literature, particularly journal articles published within the last five years, and analyzed through the stages of identification, selection, categorization, analysis, synthesis, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that adaptive leadership among madrasah principals is demonstrated through the ability to recognize changes, make contextual decisions, involve teachers and educational staff, develop digital competencies, and manage resistance to change. Strategies for sustaining digital transformation include assessing organizational readiness, strengthening human resources, developing communication and collaboration, fostering an innovation culture, conducting continuous evaluation, and adjusting policies according to emerging needs. Conclusion: Adaptive leadership represents a strategic approach to managing digital transformation because it integrates technology, human resources, organizational culture, and Islamic educational values. The success of digital transformation depends not only on technological availability but also on the ability of madrasah principals to initiate, manage, and sustain organizational change in a flexible, participatory, and contextual manner.
