Abstrak

Carrying out a job will show the way and motivation a person has whether he is working seriously or pretending. Responsible or not and so on. Therefore, a person's work ethic can be influenced by the work ethic of their group. Work ethic is something that is abstract, because it is included in the psychological field and is related to attitudes hidden within the mind. This attitude comes from the values held, namely things that are considered valuable and useful in life. The focus of this research is the work ethic of the Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu. The aim of this research is to find out the work ethic of the principal of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, namely a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the people and actors being observed. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis procedure used in this research is qualitative analysis.

Based on the findings of the analysis and discussion, the results of this research can be concluded that the work ethic of the Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu continues to move towards significant improvement. It is clear from the breakthrough in something that leads to very innovative improvement, the hard work shown by the principal both in working and influencing his subordinates so that improvements in various aspects of the school continue to develop rapidly, including the principal's discipline which can be a benchmark for increasing ethos. Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu. The improvement in the work ethic of the Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu continues to increase in accordance with the indicators listed in the concept of good work ethic, so that at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 Rokan Hulu the principal's innovations have become a breakthrough that is crucial in improving the school towards global competition.
