Abstrak

The success of education in an educational institution that protects the Foundation is determined by various factors, one of which is the Chairperson of the Foundation. There are several points of view in viewing a person's leadership based on the intelligence they have. Emotional intelligence is one point of view that is able to analyze the leadership of a foundation chairman. The State Junior High School Education Foundation 1 Kolaka is one of the foundations that is developing in Sukamarga Regency. The leadership of the Foundation chairman based on emotional intelligence (EQ) is considered very good. This has a positive impact on the sustainability of the organization's foundation. Therefore, the researchers tried to analyze the leadership of the chairman of the State Junior High School Education Institution 1 Kolaka which focuses on the perspective of his emotional intelligence. This study is a qualitative study that describes the leadership of the Chairperson of the State Junior High School Education Institution 1 Kolaka and analyzes the perspective of emotional intelligence. This study was conducted using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data validity testing uses triangulation techniques, which in this study emphasizes the source of triangulation techniques. The source is all citizens from the foundation of a good council, the environment, the people around them including teachers at elementary, junior high, and vocational Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kolaka. The source will contain data on the leadership of the chairman of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kolaka Foundation based on emotional intelligence. The results showed that the chairman of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kolaka foundation has good leadership in terms of emotional intelligence. The results of the analysis showed that the chairman of the foundation carried out primal leadership very well. This was proven by triangulation of data and sources. The chairman of the Syafaat Institution of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kolaka Educational Institution has a high commitment to the vision of the future, especially during times of stress or in the midst of increasing responsibility. The chairman of the foundation takes an emotional approach to all citizens in the foundation. The chairman of the Foundation can read his own emotions and recognize their impact using instincts to guide decisions, know their strengths and limitations, can control emotions and demonstrate honesty and integrity, trust. The chairman of the Foundation has good self-awareness and self-management, good social awareness and good relationship management.
