PERAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONALISME GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SD N MENDABE ACEH TENGGARA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024/2025

Abstrak

This study examines the role of the professional competence of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in improving student learning achievement at SDN Mendabe, Aceh Tenggara, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research aims to explore how the teacher's professional competence, including mastery of teaching materials, teaching management skills, and continuous learning, influences student outcomes in Islamic Education subjects. The findings show that the PAI teacher at SDN Mendabe successfully implemented relevant teaching strategies that align with students' characteristics, such as demonstration and hands-on practice in religious activities. Furthermore, teacher role-modeling significantly contributed to creating a conducive learning environment, motivating students to engage actively in religious practices. The study also highlights the importance of school support and the synergy between teachers and school management in enhancing educational quality. Despite limited facilities, the teacher's creativity in adapting teaching methods has shown positive results in improving student achievement not only cognitively but also affectively and psychomotorically. The study concludes that the professional competence of PAI teachers is a crucial factor in fostering religious character and improving students' academic performance in Islamic Education.
