PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA NEGERI 1 CIKAKAK KABUPATEN SUKABUMI TAHUN AKADEMIK 2024/2025

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the implementation of the contextual approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMA Negeri 1 Cikakak, Sukabumi Regency, and its impact on student academic achievement for the 2024/2025 academic year. The applied contextual approach focuses on linking religious education content with students’ real-life experiences, making learning more relevant and applicable. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation to gather data. The results indicate that the contextual approach can enhance students’ motivation, understanding, and academic achievement. PAI teachers use various methods such as group discussions and case studies to make the material more comprehensible. However, challenges such as limited time, facilities, and varying student backgrounds hinder its full implementation. This study concludes that the contextual approach is effective in improving the quality of PAI learning and student achievement, though ongoing evaluation and improvement are necessary.
