PERAN MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM MENUMBUHKAN MINAT BELAJAR DAN SIKAP POSITIF SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 ADONARA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024/2025

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the role of character education management in fostering students' learning interest and positive attitudes at SMP Negeri 1 Adonara for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that the character education management implemented at this school effectively enhanced students' learning interest and positive attitudes. Character-building programs, such as dhuha prayers and honesty lessons, along with extracurricular activities, significantly impacted students' discipline and responsibility. However, the study also identified challenges in implementing character education management, particularly regarding the limited involvement of parents and the negative influence of the surrounding environment. Therefore, it is recommended that the school further strengthen collaboration between the school, parents, and the community to optimize character education.
