UPAYA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENDORONG PEMBENTUKAN AKHLAK SISWA DI UPTD SD NEGERI 45 BUTON KELURAHAN SARAGI KECAMATAN PASARWAJO KABUPATEN BUTON

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in promoting character development in students at UPTD SD Negeri 45 Buton, Saragi Village, Pasarwajo District, Buton Regency. Character formation is a crucial aspect of education because good character serves as the foundation for students' personal development. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that PAI teachers at SD Negeri 45 Buton implement various strategies to promote character development in students, such as providing direct role models, offering advice, and organizing extracurricular activities that support character building. Additionally, teachers engage students in activities that enhance social awareness, such as charity work and learning about religious values. However, the challenges faced by teachers include the lack of support from parents and the surrounding environment in reinforcing the character values applied at school. This study contributes to a better understanding of the role of PAI teachers in character development at the elementary school level.
