SUPERVISI AKADEMIK KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI TK DHARMA WANITA MARGA KENCANA KECAMATAN TULANG BAWANG UDIK KABUPATEN TULANG BAWANG BARAT TAHUN AJARAN 2024/2025

Abstrak

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the principal’s academic supervision in improving the quality of learning at TK Dharma Wanita Marga Kencana, Tulang Bawang Udik Subdistrict, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of the research were the principal, teachers, and parents of the students. The results showed that academic supervision was carried out through systematic planning, structured implementation, and continuous follow-up. The principal prepared the supervision program in a participatory manner, conducted classroom observations using a coaching approach, and provided reflective feedback. Follow-up actions were implemented in the form of teacher training, group discussions, and individual mentoring. The conducted supervision has proven to improve the teachers’ professional competencies in designing and implementing learning that suits the characteristics of early childhood. Furthermore, academic supervision had a positive impact on increasing teacher work motivation, children's active engagement in learning, and parents' satisfaction with the quality of educational services. This study concludes that academic supervision conducted consistently, humanistically, and collaboratively serves as an effective strategy to enhance learning quality in early childhood education.
