IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN MINAT, SIKAP DAN PERILAKU POSITIF SISWA DI SMAN 2 MENGGALA KABUPATEN TULANG BAWANG

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the implementation of character education management in developing students’ interest, attitudes, and positive behaviors at SMAN 2 Menggala, Tulang Bawang Regency. Character education management is a crucial aspect in shaping students’ personalities to be responsible and have integrity. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that planning, implementation, and evaluation of character education management at SMAN 2 Menggala have been effectively carried out by involving all stakeholders such as principals, teachers, students, and parents. The implementation of character education programs has increased students’ learning interest, discipline, and positive behaviors reflected in daily interactions. Despite some obstacles like limited teacher competencies and facility support, continuous improvement efforts are made to ensure program sustainability. In conclusion, good character education management significantly impacts shaping students with noble morals and readiness to face future challenges. Recommendations are given for schools to continuously develop teacher capacity and enhance cooperation with parents to optimize character education outcomes.
