PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA MADRASAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the influence of madrasah principal leadership on the performance of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving learning quality. The leadership of a madrasah principal plays an important role in creating a conducive educational environment, enhancing teacher professionalism, and encouraging effective and quality learning processes. Problems often found in educational institutions include low teacher work motivation, less optimal academic supervision, and limited teacher competency development in the learning process. Therefore, effective madrasah principal leadership is needed to improve teacher performance quality. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers at the madrasah level. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to determine the influence of madrasah principal leadership on teacher performance. The results showed that the leadership of the madrasah principal had a positive and significant influence on the performance of Islamic Religious Education teachers. Principals who implemented democratic, communicative, and motivational leadership styles were able to improve work discipline, teaching creativity, professional responsibility, and the quality of learning in madrasahs. Thus, the better the leadership of the madrasah principal, the higher the quality of teacher performance and learning outcomes achieved.
