Implementasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Digital dalam Meningkatkan Karakter Religius Peserta Didik di SMP Negeri 2 Kotabumi Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital-based Islamic Religious Education learning in improving students’ religious character at SMP Negeri 2 Kotabumi in the 2025/2026 academic year. The development of information and communication technology has brought changes to the educational world, including the learning process of Islamic Religious Education. Digital-based learning has become one of the innovations that can create more interesting, interactive, and modern learning processes. Through the use of digital media, teachers can deliver Islamic Religious Education materials more creatively so that students’ religious character can be developed effectively. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, students, and school staff involved in the implementation of digital-based learning. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain an overview of the implementation of digital-based Islamic Religious Education learning in improving students’ religious character. The results showed that the implementation of digital-based Islamic Religious Education learning had a positive effect on shaping students’ religious character. The use of digital media such as Islamic educational videos, learning applications, interactive presentations, and online learning platforms increased students’ learning interest and understanding of religious values. In addition, students showed positive behavioral changes, such as increased discipline in worship, politeness, responsibility, and social awareness toward others. However, several obstacles were found in the implementation of digital-based learning, such as limited technological facilities, unstable internet networks, and limited supervision of digital media usage. Therefore, cooperation between schools, teachers, and parents is needed to support the implementation of digital-based learning so that the development of students’ religious character can run optimally.
