Analisis Manajemen Kesiswaan dalam Meningkatkan Disiplin Peserta Didik di Madrasah

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze student management in improving student discipline in madrasahs. Student management is one of the important components in the educational process because it is closely related to the development of students’ character, attitudes, and behavior within the school environment. Discipline is considered an essential aspect in supporting the achievement of educational goals, creating an orderly learning atmosphere, and fostering students’ responsibility in carrying out their obligations. Therefore, effective student management is needed to shape disciplined behavior among students in madrasahs. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation involving principals, vice principals for student affairs, teachers, counseling staff, and students as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that student management in madrasahs is implemented through planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating student development programs. Efforts to improve student discipline are carried out through the enforcement of school rules, habituation programs, religious activities, disciplinary coaching, and collaboration between schools and parents. The implementation of student management has a positive impact on improving students’ discipline in terms of punctuality, compliance with school regulations, responsibility in learning activities, and behavior in the school environment. Supporting factors in improving student discipline include the leadership of school principals, cooperation among teachers, parental support, and a conducive school culture. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include students’ low self-awareness, peer influence, and limited supervision outside the school environment. Therefore, effective student management plays an important role in improving student discipline and creating a positive educational environment in madrasahs.
