PEMANFAATAN GENERATIVE AI SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI ERA SOCIETY 5.0

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the utilization of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning medium in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the Society 5.0 era. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant scientific literature, books, and previous studies. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify concepts, opportunities, challenges, and strategies for implementing Generative AI in Islamic education learning. The findings indicate that Generative AI has significant potential to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic education learning by providing interactive, personalized, and adaptive learning materials, while also supporting teacher creativity and student independent learning. However, challenges remain, including information validity, potential student dependency on technology, and teachers’ digital competency readiness. The study concludes that the use of Generative AI in Islamic education must be implemented wisely, ethically, and in alignment with Islamic values to support innovative and humanistic learning in the Society 5.0 era.
