PERAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM MENDUKUNG PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN STRATEGIS KEPALA SEKOLAH

Abstrak

Principals play a crucial role as institutional leaders who are fully responsible for the progress and quality of educational institutions. In today's digital era, strategic decision-making processes can no longer rely solely on intuition but require the support of accurate, fast, and integrated data. This study aims to analyze the role of the Islamic Education Management Information System (SIMPI) in supporting the effectiveness of strategic decision-making by principals in Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that the implementation of SIMPI functions as a central provider of transparent and real-time information related to academic, personnel, financial, and infrastructure data. The existence of this information system is able to significantly reduce slow administrative bureaucracy, minimize human error, and provide comprehensive reports that facilitate principals in formulating targeted long-term policies. Thus, SIMPI has proven to be a strategic instrument that not only improves daily operational efficiency but also strengthens the competitiveness and quality of governance of Islamic educational institutions in a sustainable manner.
