UPAYA GURU FIQIH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS SHALAT BERJAMAAH PESERTA DIDIK MTS HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN JATI AGUNG LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstrak

This study found a number of significant problems related to the implementation of congregational prayer at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung, South Lampung Regency. The main problem identified was the low quality of congregational prayer among students. This can be seen from the tendency of students to perform prayers solely because they follow instructions or orders from the teacher, without any personal awareness or deep spiritual encouragement from within themselves. In practice, many students do not pay much attention to aspects of solemnity, sincerity, and quality in carrying out prayer. They tend to see prayer activities only as a daily routine to fill time, or even just as a requirement to wait for school to go home, not as worship that has a spiritual meaning and high character education value. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze in more depth the efforts made by teachers in overcoming various student difficulties and the strategies applied in order to improve the quality of congregational prayer at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that teachers have a very important role in efforts to form discipline and increase students' awareness of worship. The teacher's efforts include various strategies, including continuous coaching, providing role models in worship, a personal approach to students, and providing motivation and constructive advice. Through these approaches, students slowly begin to show changes in attitude, become more aware of the importance of performing prayers on time and with good quality, and are able to become role models in the family and community environment. In the process of improving the quality of prayer, teachers also face a number of obstacles and challenges that come from various internal and external factors. The most prominent difficulties come from the students themselves, such as a lack of willingness to change, students' unstable characters, and bad habits that have been formed previously. The environment where students live that does not support religious activities is also one of the obstacles in forming good worship habits.
